TSS380A-H is a built in battery smoke detector, the life time of the smoke alarm and battery are all 10 years, no need to change battery during the life time.

Battery smoke detectors can be powered by a variety of batteries, such as 9v, AAA or AA batteries. Some basic models use a replaceable 9-volt battery that needs to be replaced every six months. AA batteries have about three times the energy of 9V batteries. NFPA recommends replacing these batteries at least once a year and testing the alarm monthly.
